ANNOUNCING:
Fantasy Tan's Chief Executive Officer, Lester Szurko and East Coast Regional Account Manager, Lissette Diaz, have appeared as guests on the MONTEL SHOW. The TV segment is about "LUNCH HOUR MAKEOVERS" that can make you look and feel better.
Fantasy TanŽ was invented as a safe alternative to UV tanning. Our airbrush and spray system mimics the look of a beautiful suntan, without any of the risks of exposure to UV rays.
But, as you will see on the MONTEL segment, Fantasy Tan can also be used by a trained technician to mimic the look of abdominal, chest, leg and arm musculature. Fantasy Tan has a cosmetic bronzer in the formula which gives an "instant tanned" appearance. This is usually the initial WOW Factor for a customer. On the show, Lissette airbrush tanned individuals from the audience to give them the illusion of new abdominal and chest muscles - an airbrush technique known as body contouring.

TV, MAKEUP, AND LIGHTING:
Unfortunately, the contouring effect was difficult to see on camera with all the bright stage lights. Also, everyone on the show had a lot of stage makeup on which looks quite shocking in person but does not show up on camera. In order to make body-contouring show up dramatically on camera we would have had to exaggerate the color depth, which would have looked very fake to Montel and the audience. In the video you can judge by Montel's and the audience's reaction that they were able to see the difference in person. Contouring should be subtle. Customers want a slimmer and more fit appearance that does not look like an obvious paint job.
Body contouring can be applied by a trained technician to accentuate existing muscle tone or create the perception of a more toned physique. Generally, body contouring uses the spray tan's "instant" cosmetic bronzer to achieve the "muscle effect", and will mostly wash off in the shower. In some cases though, by using darker tanning solutions for the shading effect, the darker solution can leave a longer lasting contouring effect. By shading and outlining certain areas on the abs, legs, chest and arms you can mimic the look of muscle tone using lightening effects. The lighter areas appear to stand out more, while the darker areas are not as easily picked up by the eye, giving the muscle tone look - similar to color based illusions. Not all technicians offer muscle mimicking body contouring, but they can easily add some extra body shading which still does the trick.
We hope you enjoyed the show.
